Celebrities including Jessie J, Mel Giedroyc, Sally Nugent, Melanie Sykes and Dr Dr James Logan have teamed up with the Stroke Association to support its national Make May Purple campaign.
Throughout May, the charity is inviting the public to hold purple-themed fundraising activities to help raise money for research into stroke treatment, and Jessie J, who survived a stroke at the age of 18, commented 'Most people think that stroke only happens to older people. Well I'm proof that it doesn't. In fact a quarter of strokes occur in people of working age. We're survivors and that's why I'm proud to support the Stroke Association's Make May Purple for Stroke'.
